Tim

Dress: Op Shop, $8
Necklace: Safety Pins, $2.50
Glasses: Op Shop, $2
Jacket: Op Shop, $4
Shirt: Op Shop, $5
Silver Jacket: Op Shop, $2
Location: Tim's House

I've wanted to shoot Tim for ages. He's a radiographer. He's also a very pretty man. Unfortunately he broke his foot a few days before I finally got my arse into gear, so the crutches aren't for the Gaga-factor, they're a necessity for him to stand. Poor Tim.

I was forced to use a slightly more expensive ($20) camera for this shoot as it was the only one I could find. I'm tempted to continue using them - the depth of colour in these is really impressive. I especially like how the light refracted and gave the orange effects in some shots.

I HATE KMART.

Kmart photo processing is no-longer done on site, meaning it now takes over 15 days for my films to be processed.

NOT HAPPY KMART.

Alex

I am aware of how similar this is to Jenna's old shot. Sorry, I just like road signs.

Shirt - "Ghost", made out of an old promotional T-shirt for VB, Free
Chinos - $4
(Broken) Shoes - $5
Location: Erskineville, back alleys.

I've always been excited about shooting Alex. Clearly he's a strapping lad - or not clearly, because you can't really see his face in any of these shots. There's probably a distinctly Peaches-And-Luigi metaphor that you could read into that but I've not the energy nor the verbosity and I'm a bit drunk. Alex is a second year student at USyd and a long-time friend of mine. He's got really great taste in clothes so I wanted to try and deconstruct that a little bit.

The Peaches and Luigi Shop is coming along gangbusters, please do check it out - peachesandluigishop.blogspot.com

Shop Peaches and Luigi!

Exciting news - the Peaches and Luigi shop is now live!

This has been a long-running ambition of mine, and whilst the shop is clearly only in it's infancy, I'm really excited to finally see if online.

add it to your bookmarks!

I'm also going to be in the next edition of the Newtownian, a local Newtown paper - thanks heaps to Manny for the interview and write up :D.

Harry

Vintage "Rey-Bans" - $5
Vintage Versace Scarf - $5
Chanel T, Murakami Louis Vuitton and YSL Cage Boot - Free
Location - My living room.

I'd been meaning to shoot Harry for a while and when he walked in front of my big screen on a particularly hot day I knew I had the right outfit. Harry's a friend of mine and who plays the Taiko (ten points if you know what that is) and works at Country Road. OK, so it's not technically a fashion shoot, although I'm sure there's some kind of deep and meaningful analogy you could read into this that would make it fit in on this blog just swell.

Michelle

Catsuit - Vintage, Peaches and Luigi store.
Shoes - Emma Cook for Topshop, £65
Socks - Discount Store, $2
Location - Institute Building, Sydney University

Michelle is a student at the University of Wollongong and a good friend of mine.

I've been thinking about starting to sell some of my vintage clothes for a while now and have been trying to add to my collection before I start the eBay store. I've also been trying to figure out what clothes I was going to put Michelle in. When I found this catsuit I hit two birds with one stone, and it will hopefully be up for sale soon, along with a few other things I've managed to track down.

I've got some big thanks and apologies for this shoot - thanks to Caitlin for awesome hair and makeup and also thanks and sorry to Kathryn for nicking her zebra boots without asking her permission. I got a bit overenthusiastic. Also thanks to Elly for her Christmas present of cameras - they're great!

Hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year. I promise I will try to make a lot more time for P & L in 2010!

Hiatus

Hi all
As you might've noticed it's been a while since I've updated.
This blog is pretty labour-intensive and since I've left Sydney for the holidays I really don't have the time or resources to be working as fervently as I was before.
Don't worry though - I'll be back next year with a vengeance!
Thanks - Josh
P.S I need models! If anyone wants to get all dolled up and put in front of a camera let me know!

Karen (part two)

Continuing the fine tradition of having the best shots at the end of the roll

Probably my favourite from the set.

Let's face it, there's clearly no skill involved in making Karen look like a fox. I was actually really nervous going into this shoot in that I was worried that the photos wouldn't do her justice, but despite crappy weather, the worlds shitest cameras (I got 29 visible photographs out of 108 exposures) and extreme hangover, she still managed to look ridiculously hot. I take no credit for this.

Karen (part one)

Fascinator: David Lawrence, $60
Jacket: Vintage
Shorts: American Apparel, $70

Karen asked me to shoot her for some publicity material for her upcoming album. She's a really talented singer and a complete fox. I will be uploading more of this shoot later.

Jenna (Part Two)

The 'ol American Apparel flash-with-the-lights-off trick

Jeans: Lee, $80
Shirt: Arvust, $40

I've had this one for a while but haven't got around to uploading. Jenna was a great model, but I hesitated to upload because she wasn't a huge fan of these pictures, even though the last one is one of my favourites. Kudos to Kate for helping with the makeup on this one.
